We are looking for a highly talented Material Purchasing Manager to join our unique team of Applied materials Israel Material Purchasing Group

Our Group:

Our group is responsible to execute Applied Materials purchasing strategy with selected suppliers, by owning Suppliers operational activities responsibilities: assure deliveries execution, resolve supply chain issues, identify and resolve potential risks, prepare for demands or supply changes, work closely with internal and external stakeholders to continuously innovate, achieve better outcomes and add value.

Our group consists of experienced and highly motivated purchasing experts coming from different backgrounds acting together to deliver an optimal outcome for the business.

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage a Group of Purchasing experts’ daily activities.
  • Navigate Material Purchasing group for excellence as part of groups staff.
  • Manage escalations with Applied Materials Israel worldwide suppliers to meet material demands.
  • Set and measure Material group related KPI’s.
  • Manage Suppliers quality performance, work closely with suppliers’ management and Applied Materials internal groups to assure targets are met.
  • Own suppliers operational execution, manage priorities with suppliers’ and internal groups (material planning, manufacturing, R&D and engineering departments) to assure tools build plan execution.

What you should have?

  • Team player with great inter-personal skills
  • Proven managerial skills in a highly dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment, preferably experience with large corporate.
  • Ability to work under constant pressure and solves complex problems, while aligning with multiple groups and processing large amount of data
  • Solid technical understanding, good ability to learn complex systems and manufacturing processes.
  • Proven capabilities to present and manage commercial relationship with high level executives.
  • Bachelor’s degree (Mechanical/Electrical Engineering is an advantage)
  • 7+ years’ experience in similar position.
  • Strong commercial orientations, communication & negotiation skills.
  • Fluent in English, oral and written.
